The 2010-2011 season sees the return of a Rye ladies team to the NEFHA competition. Despite being a last minute addition, the new ladies team has shown great commitment with up to 17 players turning out each week.
Despite a tough first game against last year’s champions Big Apple, the ladies have shown determination and commitment. This resulted in good performances against Greeenwich I and II and some dominant spells in last week’s match against NYC. With a big game against Wildcats this coming Sunday, Rye Ladies are poised to post their first win of the season.
The ladies have also revived a great social atmosphere in the club, with numerous happy hour drinks and a big night out planned this Friday. With such a great spirit, Rye Ladies show great promise for the future years of the club.
